Using the Photogram technique to enhance my work

At first when experimenting with photograms, I was struggling to see how I could apply it to Text and Image however after experimenting more and more I have realised it really can put emphasis on my work.

With this photogram, I used the edit I created from the clipping mask technique. Immediately what I notice and admire about this is how the metal frame on the Shankly Gates really stands out in comparison to anything behind it which is nearly all blacked out.

With this photogram I have combined the old £5 note and the more modern version however the heads on the notes have been swapped. What I like about photograms is how much detail they can bring out of an image therefore we are able to see the comparison between the different notes. The black and white effect of photograms also creates quite a historic feel in my opinion and therefore suits this topic as they both represent things associated with the history and culture of Britain.
